Nuevos mapas y espacio cartoteca 2015 |

En función a las necesidades específicas de la carrera de Geografía en relación a la disponibilidad de recursos cartográficos, y en el marco del Proyecto de Mejora Institucional PMI 2015 se ha podido concretar la mejora del espacio y contenido destinado a la cartoteca en el centro de documentación de nuestro IES. En concreto, los mapas cuentan ahora con un espacio para ser conservados y consultados con comodidad por profesores y alumnos. Además, se ha ampliado el contenido en consonancia con la intención de acompañar el acercamiento al estudio del territorio local. Por esto se ha adquirido el mosaico de cartas topográficas que cubren el espacio del Valle de Uco a escala 1:50.000 y 1:100.000 (según disponibilidad del IGN) y dos mapas murales uno centrado en el Oasis del Valle de Uco y otro a escala provincial. Se cuenta también con un mapa del Valle de Uco (tamaño A0) impreso en papel que viene siendo usado en distintas exposiciones de la carrera. El mismo está disponible para ser utilizado en técnicas de mapeo colectivo, es decir en dinámicas donde los participantes pueden intervenir el mapa agregando información que facilite la comprensión de los fenómenos que se desarrollan en el territorio del Valle de Uco. El material cartográfico (excepto las cartas topográficas del IGN) está disponible también en formato digital para quien lo necesite. Los recursos del PMI también han servido para solventar el gasto de impresión del nuevo folleto de la carrera que fue distribuido a lo largo del año a los estudiantes del nivel secundario que se interesaron en la carrera en la Expo Educativa y en el IES abierto 2015. De este modo quedan invitados profesores y alumnos a hacer uso de este material que ya está disponible y que, a partir del próximo ciclo 2016, puede servir para ampliar el alcance de nuestras clases y profundizar el conocimiento del contexto territorial del IES. La idea ha sido seguir aportando a la resignificación del rol del profesor de Geografía como actor social activo clave en la interpretación y construcción de territorios.
